…had a lovely day for their wedding in Orlando. We started the day at a very early hour, but everyone was happy and excited, including me, even though I didn’t have my usual (large) quantity of coffee. The ceremony was held at the Lake Howell Bible Chapel and the reception following was at the classic Maison and Jardin. I hope you enjoy my favorites and their slideshow!

Fun with pilates and yoga...
I've been practicing yoga for about a year now at Pilates by Maggie and I absolutely love it. I volunteered to take some photos for the new website Maggie is creating and below are a few of my favorites. I haven't taken a pilates class yet, but I've been inspired to try it after sitting in on the classes. It's all very conducive to photography - a lot of pretty poses...
The first shot is certainly not award-winning, but I just had to show my mom off. She's so good!

Amanda and Matt…
…were married on an absolutely perfect day in St. Augustine last weekend. I was so excited to shoot their wedding and was right to have been. The ceremony was held at the Prince of Peace Votive Catholic Church and the beautiful reception was held at the Dow Museum of Historic Houses, which is an entire block of… well, historic houses! Everything was just lovely and it certainly didn’t hurt that their family and friends were all warm, welcoming and fun-loving.
Here are a few of my favorites, followed by their slideshow:

50th Wedding Anniversary
This event was so much fun to photograph. Since I'm usually involved with weddings in a very specific and finite way, it was wonderful to see it all from another perspective. The couple brought all of their wedding photos and spread them out at the welcome table to share with their guests. Obviously I think wedding photography is important, otherwise I wouldn't be doing this, but it did bring a tear to my eye seeing just HOW important those photos were to the family and friends who were there. I don't mind one bit that in 50 years, couples won't remember my face or name, but the photos I made of their wedding day will always be special to them and their families.
(I also couldn't get over the barbershop quartet, which was SUCH a great idea!)
